Togher Learning Neighbourhood
Togher Directory 2024
Over the past year, Cork Learning Neighbourhoods have participated in a 'Places of Learning’ photographic campaign to celebrate the learning places and spaces within communities that support and encourage people of all ages to access all forms of learning. Cork photographer, Clare Keogh, has visited the Cork Learning Neighbourhoods over the past months to capture the places of learning that empower our neighbourhoods.

Last year as part of the Cork Lifelong Learning Festival, Togher Learning Neighbourhoods hosted a Lifelong Learning Expo. This Expo which took place in St. Finbarr's Hall provided the community with a platform to showcase all that Togher and the surrounding areas have to offer. The Togher Learning Neighbourhood committee invited local community and education organisations to be represented at the event. The event highlighted a wide variety of activities within the area including sports, crafts, music, and adult education. Togher Learning Neighbourhood also launched their ‘Faces of Learning’ exhibition during the expo. The ‘Faces of Learning’ exhibition is a photographic exhibition which highlights local lifelong learners in the Togher community. Cllr. Fergal Dennehy presented the participants with their own portrait. The Togher Learning Neighbourhood committee were pleased to welcome the local community to the Expo and are proud to highlight the lifelong learning that is taking place in the local community.
